Afternoon at the Fanzone

This afternoon we walked to the Fanzone and experienced Sprint Cup practice. Actually, I sat in the one section of grass under a palm tree and people watched. Look at the line of fans waiting to get autographs from the Camping World Truck Drivers

Here are some more diehard NASCAR fans

Nap time...notice the beard tail? And below, some of NASCAR's youngest fans...

And Budweiser brought the Clydesdales... Absolutely beautiful

As evening falls, the party begins...

An our neighbors??? They actually moved...I was impressed until I realized that they had only gone on a beer run. 4 cases. Watch where we walk in the morning!

I went back to Target.. For groceries and saw the darndest thing. A police car, lights, etc.. That said Citizens Patrol. Now I do agree, that is a great idea...however, the inhabitants of the vehicle, well, let me put it this way..they were female..in their 70's. One inhabited 75 percent of the backseat, and the driver could barely see over the steering wheel. Really? How are they going to save the neighbors? Barney Fife would have been proud.

As evening falls, the stands are filling up...this place has certainly changed since Tuesday. I can't wait to fill you in!

This sums it up...

And everyone here (well almost everyone) feels like this:
