Small Town Charm

It is Homecoming weekend here...and today was the parade. I love parades in the fall....it brings out the charm in the darling town.

Finley and Jake heading off to the parade

Sarah, Henry and Bethany

And the parade starts....

Maggie was a J'ette for 4 years.......

My friend Bob marched with the band as part of an alumni event. yea Bob!

Yep, another piece of human pizza. Central Illinois seems to have an abundance of pizza people. And happy ones at that!

Homecoming royalty!

Annie with the tennis team....and my old house in the background

The boys of fall....don't they seem teeny?

Katie working hard for the Rotary Club.... Bless her brave soul!

And of course, every parade in Jacksonville has to have tractors...and...

Horses... Or as Finley calls them...Eddie.
The theme was

The Oscars are present....

My friend "Suzie I love you" (long story) had the Oscars and roses at her house.....

It is a magical porch... We grew up across the street from one another, and we had many slumber parties on this porch. The house looks like a castle with a Romeo and Juliet balcony inside. It was a magical place to play in.

Finley collected a boatload of candy...Adam will LOVE it.

And then this..... Truth be told, she even plays Mom's volleyball with her major fanny pack on. Really not much more I can say. Except.....

Happy Friday Night!
