I love summer even more!!

Maggie, Fin, Hen and I hit the road at 4:44a.m. Why so early you ask??? Reason number One...

And reason number two:

Sunrise over the Illinois prairie. Reason number Three....

The look of love??? On the beach. Seriously, this was a hug.

Uncle Cole arrived....beach chair in tow....
A rescue at sea...well, lake. Bill went to put his boat away...the boys forgot to put gas In It the day before...and forgot to tell Bill...so Harmy to the rescue.

Reason number Five...

Watching the Badger come and go out of the Ludington harbor.
Reason number Six....

The first Blue Moon ice cream cones of the summer...

Now that is THE true taste of a Michigan summer!
Reason number Seven...

Being able to be a part of Robin's surprise 50th birthday party!

Her daughter Mallory planned the entire evening...way to go Mallory!!!

Ramsey got club soda-Ed...

Being able to spend time with my lifelong friends....Sue and Nan. It was a great evening. And the blue punch...rather stellar!

Hello Summer...I love you

The skies of Osage Beach put on quite a show this week....

But they cleared up beautifully as we set out for Coconuts....

papa Joe with Ellen and Bill...our first stop

They have a new bar....with swings...not for kids though. I am quite certain this bar will provide hours of entertainment as the alcohol impaired try to swing...

Another new addition...sea plane rides. We enjoyed the view...

The teeny tiny boats.... And then we set sail again...for

Next, we finally found The Jerk Shack...thanks to Jaybird's directions

Papa Joe had a Bob Marley from the

But unfortunately...he hated it. Too sweet.

But he did like Ronnie, our waitress. And I do believe she liked him as well. He's a like-able guy.

And she's a colorful gal

Cheers Mon!

Bill admired the girls...the blonde in particular.
We were overlooking this boat as we ate dinner...we really were not certain what was going on...see the foot and the arm???

Meanwhile, back at the house....

The poolside hydrangeas are thriving

Papa Joe repaired the umbrella. I'm a happy and proud wife! Not only is he like-able...he is handy!

Still the cutest umbrellas around...just ask me!

Back on the boat, we found a quiet cove. And yes, this is a happy face...sunning, floating...he's also a happy guy!
He is also a hero kind of guy...we saw a boat in distress,

Papa Joe to the rescue. We towed them back in. Yep, he's a hero kind of guy!

Next stop Fish and Company....to see Dale Blue perform where we ran into

Shelley and Jay

And Kitty and Garland who were celebrating 43 years of marriage...

Being serenaded by Dale. Jacksonville was well represented!

Another lovely t'shirt.
But back to something lovely. (by the way, lovely is one of my favorite words. No real reason, it is just lovely)

A PERFECT Ozark sunset...the perfect ending to a great day
In other family news...Cole spent the weekend in DC

I promise, I did raise him with some sense of fashion...I did
And Nan took Millie on an adventure to

A new meat market in Michigan....I WANT TO GO!!!!

Avery and Annie enjoying Costa Rica....looking ever so intelligent!

Maggie rearranged Henry's room...again. Henry is a 5th generationer to sleep in this bed. I think I just created a new word!
I spent some time with Baby Ju

Hope you all had a great week as well!
