The week in review

Papa Joe went to the lake with Beth on Wednesday...and he got the flowers I requested for the yard...

Awesome!!

In the meantime, Sue and I went to dinner....and we had a few drinks...

Henry and Finley and I went to the Nursery looking for trees...

We were more enchanted with this...

Cole went to New Orleans and attended Jazz Fest....and he made new friends...imagine that.

He also met an old friend of his Dads and mine. Kreg was a college friend of ours..he is an artist who exhibits yearly at Jazz Fest.

Cole even made it to the Shell Oil VIP tent courtesy of his work. Rough life Dude.

Finley came to the lake with us....and she finally went to sleep. Finally.

After we made brownies...

Yep, she really liked the batter...

Papa Joe in his chair. Yep, I have a really cool new phone that takes really cool photos.

Jake fishing off the dock...

All made up and ready for the day...

Hanging out with the dogs...

With the balloon lady at the grocery store.

With Vanilla...her new puppy. We only had to wait 20 minutes. I win, nicest grandmother of the year..because I let her

Push her own cart and then

Ride the in store carousel.

Arts and crafts time.. Then back home and an evening at Lake Jozark...

Water...and lots of it!

New residents of Lake Jozark...

Henry hanging out in his shades....

A little surprised???? Ah Lucy! By the way, the JHS girls soccer team won the tournament at the Lake of the Ozarks last weekend. GO Lucy!!

It was a little too warm for a fire, but we still had one and we still loved it! happy Tuesday!,

I'm back!

With all of the terrible things happening, even in this small community, I thought we could use some levity...as in the daily nonsense of my life!

Marilyn made an amazing canopy for Mad and Jake...yes, and for Beau.

Cole and Dan went grocery shopping....just like the old days in South Texas. I love that my children still do goofy things on their own....without me begging them to do so! I'm so proud!

Beau was a hit on the Internet.

Finley and I went to the cemetery and saw this....a bride and groom, and the photographer rolling all around on the ground. And actually, we were stuck in the cemetery...for 30 minutes for this photo shoot. We were glad it was a nice day at least. Just ..... Different.

Madeline had a pillow party for Maggie

And Julie's darling jewels

Marilyn and I made the food....that Marilyn can BAKE!!!

We did good! Just ask me!

Finley spent the night...and we baked...a lot!!

Yep, Kahlua and Vodka cake...

She REALLY liked the batter

A lot!

We were proud!

We worked in the yard...

Um, well, he was happy!

Jennifer made Papa Joe an amazing pie...he and Adam devoured it!

Jake made an awesome mirror

Carter turned 11

These two mowed at the farm....

Henry was happy, even with his perpetual facial battle scars from Finley

Family day in the garden

Favorite farm girl...

We baked some more...

Her Daddy came for breakfast....

Cole, Jon and Madeline met Alex and Ruri for lunch...in DC

These girl were having some fun! Or something!

Yes, I did this. Keeping Henry happy...that's my duty.

And this handsome man went out for a drive. this was HUGE. This was awesome.

Prayers to all involved in the tragic events that unfolded in Manchester today.
